Puppy Classes

Please be assured that all Scallywags trainers and instructors adhere to a very strict code of practice. We do not employ traditional training methods such as leash jerks and punishment nor do we perform miracles. Training your puppy/dog or overcoming a behaviour problem requires a commitment from you.

Puppy Class

Venue: Indoor Training Venues
Time:  Evenings
Cost: £80 for 8 week course, one puppy romp and one-2-one lesson

Between 8 & 12 weeks is a period in the dog's development when all new experiences will have a maximum and long-lasting effect on the dog's future disposition. This is also the best time to start basic training. Walking on a loose lead, coming when called, standing still to be groomed etc. are much easier to teach to a dog that has never pulled, run off, or enjoyed a wrestling match with a brush-wielding owner!.

During this 8 week course puppies are learning to be attentive to you whilst in the company of other dogs. Romping with other pups is not encouraged at class. Your puppy course also includes one puppy romp and an exclusive one-2-one lesson at our outside training venue in Shedfield.

Week 1 is an introduction WITHOUT your puppy enabling you to absorb as much of the discussion as possible and ask questions.

Week 2-8 are with your puppy.

These classes require booking so please give the team a call to check availability and book your spot.

Question: What do i need to bring with me?

Answer: Week 1 just you....future weeks; Collar and lead, tasty food treats, quiet toy (not squeaky), chew toy and toilet roll for cleaning up little accidents !
